Scion of Ardor is a collaboration between solo musician Ushan and creative thinker/world builder Rexomnes. Drawing influence from bands such as Morbid Angel, early Atrocity, Immolation, and more, Ushan plays an old school flavored style of death metal that aims to bring Rexomnes' Lovecraftian fantasy concepts to life through music. Initially called Cosmic Worm, the band's material has been through several developmental and stylistic changes before becoming what it is today, though the mystical themes were present from the start.
A previous collaboration between Ushan and Rexomnes, Anhelan Desidere, sees the two contributing individual ambient pieces to the 2016 compilation Rex Illi Omnibus. It can be found here at SoundCloud , and will be remastered + reissued with bonus material sometime later in 2021.
